On a lighter note...

One time I fell off my bike while training for Iron Girl... & this is what happened.

Set the Scene:

It's 6am on a Monday morning... Warm, about 70 degrees... had just ran a mile to warm up... Boyfriend was getting ready for work and I had some time so I thought I would take a light loop on my bike...

Enter: wooden bridge, still slightly wet with dew.

guess who wasn't wearing a helmet..

yeah that would be a sprained shoulder courtesy of my sweeet flip over the handle bars

and then i had to go to work-- 2days later after the painkillers

my cheek and ear were bloody and covered in scabs!

my baby sayin "feel better soon Momma!"
Note to self: wear a helmet & be cautious of wet, wooden bridges. -- oh & Buy an Aflac Accident Policy!!

that's all.

  2. Oh geez! See, this is why I never learned to ride a bike! I fell off a motorcycle when little and got really bloody. Never wanted on something like that again.... stresses me out..... There's just something about pavement breaking your fall..... eck. Hehe... idk... maybe I'll get over it... (:

Did it leave a permanent scar? Battle wounds ^_^

You're sweet puppy is giving you kisses. Awwe :)

  3. After I fell, I haven't really been afraid of falling again, but rather I'm more scared of steep down hill grades. I'm afraid of losing control I guess.

& no scar on my face, but I have a huge one from the road rash on my shoulder blade.. about a 1/2 inch away from my tattoo.. I'm just glad it didn't mess up my ink.
